Hidden Side Mount
Pristine lines, no visible hardware, and an all-glass view define this elegant glass system. Its understated sophistication will speak volumes in your space.
Our patent-pending Hidden Side Mount is a frameless, side-mounted glass system that disappears behind the fascia so that your surface, and view, stays untouched by any hardware.
Products: FLIGHT Floating Stairs, FLIGHT Stack, Glass Railing, Vedera
Location: St. George, Utah

This stunning space showcases how a beautiful staircase can tie a home's design together. This FLIGHT Stack system turns the corner with intriguing light features and sleek glass railing.
Understated Luxury
Let your flooring shine while your railing delivers a wide open view with our Hidden Side Mount glass system. Designed to sit partially under your floor edge and behind the fascia, everything but the glass is invisible (and the glass gets close).
Choose Hidden Side Mount for an uninterrupted floor on decks, lofts, overlooks, and more. Maximize your walking area and create a sophisticated edge that’s fit for a gallery.
Safe As It Is Clear
A continuous, concealed track clamps each panel along their full width so they stay plumb and solid. One of our most robustly-tested frameless glass systems, it’s built for strength as much as it’s designed for elegance.
For your custom Hidden Side Mount system, we’ll engineer everything — glass thickness, channel anchorage, handrails, etc. — to make sure it’s exactly what you want, up to code, and built strong.
Straightforward Installation
A strong, continuous backing is essential for installation of your Hidden Side Mount system. You’ll start by fastening your channel sections before installing the hardware and setting in your glass panels. Your custom fascia (not provided) is then mounted on the outside to conceal the track.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, when designed to your project. We set glass thickness, spigot count/spacing, anchors, and handrail details with your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) under the applicable IRC/IBC code.
A cap rail is often recommended for stiffness and edge protection. Many commercial or high‑load conditions require a continuous top cap. Your drawings will indicate what’s required.
Hidden Side Mount is optimized for level runs and landings. We recommend Vedera for stairs which gives a similar look and made for FLIGHT systems. Another great option for stair flights is our Ascend Talons system.
They must be at least four inches wide. Panel width and height depend on glass type, exposure, and load category. We’ll finalize spans during engineering. Your shop drawings will show exact sizes.
The decorative cladding/trim to conceal the channel is not included by Viewrail. We provide channel locations and clearances so your finish carpenter can detail the fascia cleanly.
Available for all of our glass railing systems, our hydrophobic coating creates a protective “barrier” resistant to water, soil, stains, fingerprints, and corrosion.
Use durable powder‑coat finishes; in harsh/coastal regions, specify premium coatings. Covers can be color‑matched to surrounding finishes.
Many independent contractors and DIYers install with our documentation. Through our nationwide network of experienced Certified Installers, you can find a professional familiar with Viewrail systems in your region.
Orders ship in protective crates, labeled to match the drawings for easier staging on site. Your rep will provide a delivery timeline based on your location and scope.
Your order may qualify for Viewrail Delivery, where we deliver on our own trucks with knowledgable drivers who can make sure it arrives safely, confirm that you're not missing anything, and can answer questions.
Use a pH‑neutral glass cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals. Hydrophobic coatings are available to reduce water spots and fingerprints.
