Which handrail is best for my railing?
Viewrail’s Signature post to post railing has several different options. Below we will cover each different option and the situations in which they excel.
Quick Slide Handrail
Quick Slide handrail has a 1” x 2” aluminum profile that utilizes bolt-on brackets designed to slide through a grooved channel on the underside of the railing, making installation fast, safe, and easy. Since Quick Slide brackets are bolted together, there’s no need for pre-drilled holes. This extends the life of the powder coat, which protects the metal from corrosion, making Quick Slide railings the perfect choice for extreme coastal environments. 6000 Handrail
Our “6000” handrail profile or “Mission handrail” is our flagship wood handrail. The 6000’s rectangular design gives it a modern look. Due to its size (2 & ¾” x 1 ⅝”), it’s not considered graspable in some areas. Uses: Interior
Stainless Steel 1″ x 2″ Handrail
The 1” x 2” handrail is our best seller for stainless steel post-to-post systems. It has a smaller profile, which makes it a great, graspable option for angled and level railings. 1 x 2 handrails are available in 304 Stainless Steel or 2205 Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel Round Handrail
Our 1.5″ and 2″ Round Metal Handrail has been designed as an architecturally correct handrail solution that beautifully completes the modern elegance of a Viewrail Signature railing system. Round handrail is available in 316 Stainless Steel and can be finished in our Brushed Stainless finish, or have a powder coat applied. Order your handrail with finished ends, connect long sections, or apply finished ends on the job site. Uses: Interior or Exterior, Non Coastal
6002 Endurance Handrail
Endurance Series has been thermally modified to withstand all of the natural enemies of exterior wood– moisture, rot, mildew, and the elements. It has been engineered without the use of chemicals, ensuring renewable resources from start to finish. The process that makes this 6002 handrail so durable also allows it to be cut in lengths up to 10’. As with all wood in an exterior application, it is highly recommended to apply an exterior rated stain and/or sealant to lengthen the product’s lifespan. Uses: Exterior, Non Coastal
6001 Ipe Handrail
The 6001 Ipe Handrail’s simple, rectangular form complements a variety of design preferences: contemporary, mission, or shaker. It coordinates perfectly with our cable, rod, and glass railing systems for indoor applications. While Ipe weathers extremely well, for best results it is recommended to finish any exterior wood with an exterior-rated sealant. Uses: Exterior, Non Coastal, Level Runs
6007 Endurance Handrail
Our Endurance Series has been thermally modified to withstand all of the natural enemies of an exterior wood– moisture, rot, mildew, and the elements. It has been engineered without the use of chemicals, ensuring that the ash is a renewable resource from start to finish. The process that makes this 6007 handrail so strong also allows it to be cut in lengths up to 10’. Over time, these beautiful browns will age to shades of an elegant silvered grey, giving your project a distinguished look. As with all wood in an exterior application, it is highly recommended to apply an exterior-rated stain and/or sealant to lengthen the product’s lifespan. Uses: Exterior, Non Coastal, Level Runs
6084 Handrail
6084 Handrail is a streamlined solution for ever-evolving code regulations. The wide top provides a sturdy surface to hold on to, while the inward curve presents a finger recess for code compliance. With a simple, angular design, it pairs perfectly with our metal railing posts. Uses: Interior, when graspable handrail is needed
