The Challenge
For five years, Sam kept replacing a rotting board here, fixing something there, and telling herself she would “eventually” renovate it the right way. She had dreamed of having a modern, open deck that would be a space for slowing down to both entertain guests and enjoy quiet mornings with a cup of coffee.

The Process
